The futility of manipulating Jack
It should be interesting to see who will be speaking against the motion in the proposed COP debate and the strength of the arguments presented.
Many in the COP are determined to engineer a break from the People's Partnership Government and see the present opportunity as worth another effort.
Mr Warner is aware that there is life after Parliament and is moving to protect his future. He may even be contemplating resigning from Parliament if and when his bids for the Mirror and Newsday succeed. It is too early in the day to assume the future which can include placing all assets in a blind trust as required by law.
The motion should read that Warner be expected to resign if he violates the law regarding ministerial deviance from established practice or similar phrasing.
Unfortunately the COP's tail continues to wag the dog and Prakash is too weak as a shaking head.
Another possibility is that the grandiose COP position is merely to protect the interests of other parties against Warner's bidding. Who is attorney Vernon representing?
The recent history showed the futility of manipulating Jack when he was a fully operational FIFA exec and simultaneously a minister. Now that he is in the critical position of Minister of National Security, one can only wonder at the COP's decision that will only assist the criminal elements by Jack's removal.
That was a charge earlier applied to the People's National Movement.
