Time to use foreign crime-fighting strategy
I am not hearing our acting Commissioner of Police saying anything; where is he? All this big lock down that took place in Malabar, not a word from him, Is he around?
Just imagine the acting Prime Minister, and the National Security Minister were present to observe the officers at work. What am I hearing? The acting Commissioner of Police who is in charge of the Police was not there?
I have never heard that a Prime Minister whether acting or not will go to observe police officers working. President Obama did not go with the NYPD to observe them when they made the biggest gun bust by getting 254 guns off the street.
Is this is the way it is done in a third world country? I don’t know I am asking, because it is the most foolish thing I have ever read. Up to now nobody can come up with a proper crime plan, every one that they came up with failed and the acting Commissioner of Police who is supposed to implement a crime plan is very quiet.
I read where a New York crime buster was coming to transform the police service to make it more effective, but is that not the same thing Dwayne Gibbs was trying to do?
The Minister of National Security said that he does not want to adopt a measure of a foreign country. I think it is better to adopt something from a foreign country when you have nothing at all. The murders in our country are out of control. Imagine the murder rate in New York city is lower than ours between January 2013 to July 2013, only 154 people were murdered in a city with over eight million people.
Commissioner Ray Kelly implemented a crime fighting strategy and was able to get the murder rate down for the first time in decades. They called him a super hero because of his crime fighting strategies.
Hence the reason we should use another country’s crime fighting strategy. Stop the procrastination and get moving; time is running out. We cannot let the criminals win.
