ToolsUnion leaders lackingAs a member of the OWTU, I wish to query the use of union money for political purposes. The MSJ's recent unethical stand in withdrawing from the coalition without any form of consultation with the union membership was distasteful. I demand that a referendum be held so that OWTU members can have a say in the future of the union. David Abdulah criticised the Government for a lack of consultation, for example on the Point Fortin highway, yet he is not practising what he is preaching! Isolationist thinking will ultimately lead to the fall of any union leader. Messrs Abdulah and Roget indeed have big boots to fill, as left behind by Errol Mc Leod. As our leaders they leave a lot to be desired. Jabari Jacobs La Romaine |
