Welcome to Toyland

Sometimes I have to wonder if Christmas was postponed without me knowing.

Every time I watch television, listen to the radio or read the newspapers, all I can see and hear is talk about who is getting a model plane and who will be flying.

A few days ago the talk was about who is driving a Porsche or getting one or who should have one; and now I am beginning to hear about a train.

This thing is beginning to sound like Toyland.

It won't surprise me if I hear about a state visit to Santa's Workshop in the North Pole; and, because I do not want to be like the little boy that Santa forgot, I am asking Uncle Jack to start work, which was promised to commence in January of 2012, on the piece of the Diego Martin Highway between Victoria Gardens and Acton Court so I too can start to play with my old Scalextric cars.
