Why are citizens still without basic amenities?

This country has an immense amount of money circulating, of the Government has the final say in how to spend it.

Why is it that some communities still do not have a regular supply of water?

Why is it that our hospitals are still unable to offer a first-world, or a merely acceptable level of service to those who are in need of medical services?

Why is our education system still generating young adults who cannot read?

Why is it that our law-abiding citizens lives are at the mercy of the criminals?

The elected Government’s leader has repeatedly stated they are there to serve the people. So who exactly are “these people”? Surely it is not all of the Trinidadians and Tobagonians, but a very select few.
