Why bus with no seats for college pupils?
THIS is a letter to my elected parliamentarian Winston “Gypsy” Peters.
The very fist time I voted in my 40 years of life was in 2010. Like many others I voted for change with the expectation of betterment for the lower class people of the entire country. After more than three years in office you and the People’s Partnership Government have completely disappointed me.
For more than two years and several frustrating conversations with my councillor Mr R Cozier, officials from the school, and the Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC), I am sad to say that the children of Guayaguayare who attend North Eastern College Sangre Grande have to continue to sit on the floor of their school bus for another two years due to a lack of seats.
For students and parents depending on this service who cannot afford the high transportation fees, this is their only option made possible by a sympathetic bus driver.
I am ashamed as a parent and a resident of your constituency that people with the power to address this problem have done absolutely nothing to assist the children of Guayaguayare. This is simply inhumane in this day and age.
Never again will I be dipping my finger in the ink for you.
