Body found in drain

THE body of a man was discovered lying in a drain in San Fernando on Sunday. 

The man, whose nickname was given to police as “Guana”, was found at King’s Wharf. 

Acording to a police report, at around 7.10 a.m., Donna  Ravello, 41, of Old Train Line, was walking along the street when she saw the body of a man she knew.  The deceased was described as a man of African descent, who was clad in a short pants and bare-backed. 

Police were told that he was a known drug-user and alcoholic. 

A district medical officer visited the scene and ordered the removal of the body to San Fernando mortuary pending a post-mortem.
