Tessanne goes for victory tonight
Following the performance of Jamaican singer and The Voice finalist, Tessanne Chin, who nailed Whitney Houston's classic "I Have Nothing", various social websites have been abuzz with tremendous support with many of her Trinidad and Tobago fan base predicting her win in the season five finale scheduled for 10 p.m. tonight.
Moments after Chin's stirring performance including her duet with Maroon 5’s Adam Levine of The Beatles’ "Let It Be" on Monday night, fans flocked to twitter and Facebook to express their pride in her performance, with many agreeing that she was poised to win it all.
Among those in her corner is Kees Diffenthaller with whom she has done a single "Loving You".
Dieffenthaller said he felt fulfilled at witnessing Chin’s accomplishments.
"Tessanne and all of us in the band are like family. Obviously to see her shine the way that I know that she deserves to is amazing to see.
Tessanne faced a lot of challenges in her style as an artiste. Coming from an island and being not being very main stream Tessanne was not getting an opportunity to fully express her talent and to really break out of the stereotypes.
It is inspiring and amazing because she is the same person she has always been. To see her get a break in a real solid way is just fulfilling to me to see her do that. I just think she is blessed and I wish her the best.
I think that she deserves this. Timing is everything. I think that she was always a star and that is why I sought her out in the first place. I know she has a magic. She is a realist and she has a humble grace about her. She knows her power and her range but yet she still has a grace about her," Dieffenthaller said.
