Lockdown after ex-SRP shot dead

A former Special Reserve Police (SRP) officer was shot and killed at Enterprise, Chaguanas, last evening.

He was identified as 30-year-old Nigel Walker.

Walker was standing near a parlour at Circular Drive, Crown Trace, when a man walked up to him and began shooting around 5.15 p.m.

He collapsed as he was about to run into a nearby parlour.

Walker, who lived at Orangefield Road, Chase Village, Chaguanas, was shot four times in the head and abdomen.

Police locked down the area last night as they searched for the suspect.
