13-year-old shot at lime

A 13-YEAR-old Marabella boy was among two people shot at a basketball court in Marabella on Christmas morning.

Antonio Mendoza, of West Bayshore, and Mugar Walker, 25, of the same address, were among a group of persons who were confronted by gun-toting bandits.

Police were told that around 3.30 a.m. Mendoza and Walker were liming with other men at the sporting facility when they were confronted by two bandits with jerseys pulled over their faces.

Pointing firearms at the group, the thieves ordered them to lie on the ground.

However, the men ran and the gunmen shot at them.

Mendoza and Walker were shot in their legs.

The bandits made good their escape.

The victims were taken to the San Fernando General Hospital, where Mendoza is warded, while Walker was treated and discharged.

PC Mohammed of the Marabella Police Station is continuing investigations.
