17-year-old gunned down outside bar

A 17-year-old was shot dead outside a bar at St Margarets, Claxton Bay early on Monday.

Michael Miguel, of Embacadere, San Fernando, was shot four times in the head and chest.

Two other men, Wayne Richards and Shakeel Duncan, were also wounded and are being treated at hospital.

The killing happened at around 3.30 a.m. near Side Bar.

Police were told that Miguel was picked up by friends at around 2a.m. and the group went to the bar. While there, a man walked in asking for a person who is Miguel's brother. Police were told that the man pulled a gun on Miguel and asked if he was the brother of the person they were looking for. Miguel ran from the bar but was chased and shot multiple times. His death was recorded as homicide number 186 for the year.
