18-year-old charged with sexual assault of 13-year-old

AN 18-year-old South Oropouche man appeared in court yesterday charged with the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl.
Hayden Crawford appeared in the San Fernando First Magistrates' Court before Magistrate Rajendra Rambachan.
Crawford was charged with two counts of sexual intercourse with a female between the ages of 14 and 16, and one count of grievous sexual assault.
One of the counts of sexual intercourse with a female was allegedly committed in Siparia, and the other two offences in San Fernando. The charges were laid by WPC Ambrali of the Ste Madeleine police.
Police prosecutor Ramdath Phillip did not object to bail for the teenage accused.
Rambachan granted $60,000 bail for the two offences allegedly committed in San Fernando and $25,000 for the offence allegedly committed in Siparia.
Rambachan transferred the offence that was allegedly committed in Siparia to the Siparia Magistrates' Court.
The case in San Fernando was postponed to November 29.
