3 years jail for stealing vehicle

By Innis Francis

A man who stole a car in San Fernando, and was arrested while driving the vehicle along the Blanchisseuse Road, was sent to prison for three years yesterday.

Rolly Vialva stole the Nissan B-14 from outside the Gulf City Shopping Mall, La Romaine on the afternoon of March 29. Earlier this month, police officers conducted a road block exercise  and intercepted the stolen vehicle at Blanchisseuse. Vialva had no  lawyer when he appeared in court yesterday.

A criminal background check revealed he had four previous convictions for fraud.

Deputy Chief Magistrate Mark Wellington sent him to prison for three years.
