31-year-old dies in crash

A LIME with friends ended tragically for Andre Boodoo who yesterday morning became the tenth person to die on the nation's roads for 2013.

Boodoo, 31, was driving his grey Nissan B14 car around 4.30 a.m. along the southbound lane of the Solomon Hochoy Highway.

As he attempted to exit onto the Corinth overpass, Ste Madeleine, he crashed into a metal barrier.

The operator of Cedar Drive, Pleasantville died on the spot, a police report said.

He was the lone occupant of the car.

Family members declined to speak with reporters yesterday about the accident but Boodoo's brother said he (Boodoo) was returning from liming with friends when the accident occurred.

He said relatives will await the results of an autopsy which is yet to be done on Boodoo's body.

Investigations are being conducted by Cpl Beharry of Ste Madeleine police station.

Senior Superintendent of Police of the Southern Division Cecil Santana and Assistant Superintendent of Police Basdeo were at the scene of the accident yesterday morning.
