3.8 quake hits North

An earthquake occurred in North Trinidad yesterday morning with a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale the Seismic Research Unit of The University of the West Indies, St Augustine, said.

The unit's website stated the quake occurred at 8.16 a.m. and was located north of the Paria Peninsula.

It had a depth of 95 kilometres and was felt mainly in Port of Spain and its suburbs.

There was no damage reported in the areas affected by the earthquake.
