4-year-old sexually assaulted

...Removed from parents’ home

A FOUR-YEAR-OLD girl was taken from her parents’ home yesterday by police investigating claims of sexual abuse.
The infant was taken into State custody.
The parents, who are alleged drug users, have three other children, aged one, six and five.
The Express was told that the four-year-old girl was medically examined and evidence was found that she had been sexually assaulted.
A woman employed with a non-governmental organisation, who had been working with the family, said the child told her that three children - aged 11, eight and five years old - had attempted to have sex with her.
A child custody case will be called in the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court next week regarding the four year old child.
