A PH taxi driver was found dead, with both hands tied behind his back, in some bushes yesterday morning. His white Nissan B-12 car was missing.
Vikaram Sasenarine, 53, was last seen alive by relatives when he left home on Tuesday night. They began searching for him when he did not return home that night and calls to his cellphone went unanswered.
Sasenarine lived at Naparima/Mayaro Road, Princes Town. His corpse was spotted by two occupants in a passing car along the Moreau Trace, Penal Rock Road, Moruga, around 6.30 a.m. His body bore several stab wounds, police said.
Investigators believe Sasenarine was hijacked and killed for his car. Southern Division Homicide are investigating the case. The murder toll up to last evening stood at 305.
