TWO passengers lost their lives during vehicular accidents yesterday.

Angellia Jackson, 25, was the front seat passenger in a Nissan B13 motorcar which was struck by a van along the M1 Ring Road near Princes Town around 4 a.m. yesterday.

Sean Augustine was driving the B13 motorcar when Daniel Williams, who was heading in the opposite direction lost control of his van.

Williams slammed into the car. Jackson of St Mary's, Moruga, died at the scene.

Williams and Augustine were taken to the San Fernando General Hospital.

Corporal Dwight Halls of the Princes Town police station is continuing investigations.

Kamal Sharma, 43, of Golconda was also killed yesterday when he was thrown from the car in which he was a back seat passenger.

He died on the spot.

Sharma was with two other men on his way to his Golconda home when the white Nissan Skyline collided with a white Nissan B15 heading in the opposite direction. The accident occurred around 3 p.m. along the Southern Main Road, near Mosquito Creek.

Driver of the Skyline, Vishnu Putkoo, 44, overtook a line of vehicles before colliding with the B15, police officers said.

The B15 driver, Ryan Baptiste, 26, of Woodland and two friends were taken to the San Fernando General Hospital. Putkoo and another man were also rushed to the hospital.

Acting Inspector Ramnanan, Acting ASP Basdeo and Cpl Samuel were on the scene.
