ToolsAnil shows payslip evidenceSPORT Minister Anil Roberts yesterday presented one of his payslips as proof that Cabinet members have been making monthly contributions to the Children's Life Fund. Roberts made the statement as he responded to claims by PNM Diego Martin Central Member of Parliament (MP) Dr Amery Browne that contributions to the Children's Life Fund were not made in the past two years. Roberts produced his pay slip for the period ending August 31, 2011 and said included in his monthly deductions was the figure of $1,650 a month to "Children's FD". "Every month, every single month," Roberts said. "From the very onset." He added: "I am just showing you that every month $1,650 comes out okay, so please let's not tell the population wrong things." |
