By Gyasi Gonzales

A THIRTY-year-old Arima man was stabbed to death early yesterday morning following an altercation with another man along Ariapita Avenue in Woodbrook.

Police said that the victim, Keston Huggins of Herman Drive, Malabar, Arima, was liming near the Domino's pizza outlet near the corner of Carlos Street and Ariapita Avenue around 3 a.m. when he got into an argument with another man.

Police said the argument turned physical, during which the man ran off.

Minutes later the suspect returned with an ice pick with which he dealt Huggins a single stab wound to the chest. The man ran away. Huggins' friends picked him up off the pavement, bundled him into their car and took him to the Port of Spain General Hospital. Huggins was pronounced dead on arrival.

Officers of the Port of Spain CID and Homicide Bureau visited the scene where they conducted enquiries.

The murder toll stood at 31 up to last night according to an Express tally.
