INSURANCE consultant Bertrand Doyle died last Saturday at Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope, following a brief illness.
He was 82 years old.
Doyle headed an insurance consultancy, Bertrand Doyle Ltd, which he started in 1987.
According to relatives, Doyle was well known in Trinidad and Tobago’s insurance sector during the 1970s and 80s and his expertise was sought in a number of smaller Caribbean territories, such as St Vincent, Dominica, St Lucia, Grenada and St Kitts-Nevis.
Doyle, who was the father of four children, also hosted a radio programme called “Risky Business”, in which he dispensed financial advice based on his many years of experience in the insurance industry.
He is expected to be laid to rest on Monday.
