Body of 'PH' driver found in Cunupia

By South Bureau

The body of another "PH" driver was found yesterday, and police said it appeared he died for the same reason as several others this year—for his car.

The body of Stephon Pyle, 27, of Pinto Road, Arima, was discovered along a canefield road at Warrenville, Cunupia.

The discovery was made by a "PH" driver using the canefield road as a short cut at around 9 a.m.

Pyle was reported missing by his family on Saturday last.

His body was clad in a three quarter blue jeans and red T-shirt. Police said Pyle was killed by a bullet to the head.

Two weeks ago, the body of "PH" taxi-driver Rennie Dumas was found by a passerby in Ste Madeleine.

He was stabbed to death. His car was not found.

Last month, "PH driver Vickaram Saisnarine was chopped to death for his vehicle on the Penal Rock Road.

Also last month, municipal police officer Jason Thomas was shot and killed by thieves who pretended to be passengers.
