Body of woman found in 'Grande' store

POLICE are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the body of a woman who was found with her face bashed in and a gash on her neck early yesterday morning.

According to police reports the woman, who is believed to be in her late 20s or early 30s, was found naked inside an agricultural supplies store near the Sangre Grande market.

Police were alerted to the scene by market vendors who went to the store to purchase equipment to ply their trade and stumbled upon the body.

Police said the woman is light brown in complexion, slim and has no distinguishing features.

Officers of the Sangre Grande Police Station are continuing investigations.
