Brother in court for brother's killing

ANTONIO Alexander, of Diamond Village, Claxton Bay, appeared in the Couva Magistrates' Court yesterday charged with unlawfully killing his teenage brother, Tevin Alexander.

Antonio Alexander, 20, was not called upon to plead to the manslaughter charge against him.

Tevin Alexander, 18, was killed on August 26 after he ran from the scene of a fight outside a bar.

His body was found near Jusamco Pavers, at Cedar Hill Road, with a gunshot wound to the head.

The teenager was laid to rest last Sunday.

Antonio Alexander appeared before Senior Magistrate Indra Ramoo-Haynes, who remanded him in prison custody and ordered that he reappear in court on October 3.
