Bullet-riddled body, headless corpse found

THE police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two men found dead in separate incidents.
The first incident occurred in the Belmont area.
Police said they received reports around 6 p.m. on Tuesday that several gunshots were heard in the Cemetery Street, Maryland, Belmont area. A team of officers arrived on the scene but after searching the area they found nothing.
Yesterday around 6 a.m. while a resident of the area was on her way to work she found the bullet riddled corpse of a man.
Police said he was dark skinned, of African descent and wore a black T-shirt and dark blue 3/4 pants.
The body was eventually moved to the Port of Spain Mortuary. A post mortem will take place after the man has been positively identified.
Hours later in Valencia, another body was found.
Police said around 2.30 p.m. yesterday the operator of an excavator who was carrying out works along the Valencia Old Road stepped out of the vehicle and while relieving himself in the bushes he observed there was an unusually large number of corbeaux where he stood. He walked deeper into the bushes to investigate and found the body of a headless man.
The man contacted the police.
When a team of officers arrived on the scene the man was not only headless but completely naked.
They could only say that he was brown-skinned.
