ToolsCAL cancels Florida flights over IsaacCaribbean Airlines cancelled flights to and from Florida yesterday as the US state braces for a hit from Tropical Storm Isaac. Late last Wednesday, Isaac's tail whipped Trinidad and Tobago, bringing heavy rainfall that caused flooding and landslides in some areas of North Trinidad. A release from the airline stated that Flights BW484 (Trinidad to Miami); BW 483 (Miami to Trinidad); BW 480 (Trinidad to Ft Lauderdale); BW 481 (Ft Lauderdale to Trinidad); BW 032 (Kingston to Ft Lauderdale); BW 033 (Ft Lauderdale to Kingston); and BW 035 (Montego Bay to Ft Lauderdale) have all been cancelled. CAL's communications director, Clint Williams, said, "We are monitoring the weather closely, but anticipate only (yesterday) to be affected. And only to Florida," he said. Passengers have been rebooked, he said, and advised customers with any queries to call the airline's hotlines, 868-625-7500 in Trinidad, and 1-800-970-4225 in the US, and keep monitoring CAL's Facebook page for more updates.
