COP: Best of luck, team
The Congress of the People (COP) yesterday congratulated Jehue Gordon on winning gold in the IAAF World Championships men’s 400m hurdles in Moscow.
In a media release, the COP compared Gordon to Olympic gold medal winner Keshorn Walcott, who similarly “presented us with the perfect 2013 Independence gift”.
The COP added congratulations to the Trinidad and Tobago team, managed by Dexter Voisin, and the rest of the support staff.
“We wish our 2012 Olympic champion, Keshorn Walcott, who unfortunately did not qualify for his finals, better luck in the future. We also wish Renny Quow, Jarrin Solomon, Lalonde Gordon and Deon Lendore all the best in tomorrow’s 4x400m relay finals as they try to improve on their 2012 London bronze medal,” the release stated.
