ToolsCadiz expected back home todayTourism Minister Stephen Cadiz yesterday underwent a battery of medical tests to determine the root cause for his illness. Cadiz, on Sunday complained of feeling unwell at Miami International Airport en route to Seattle where he was scheduled to attend tourism conferences. He was rushed to the Miami Metropolitan hospital where he was warded up to yesterday. The Minister's adviser, Christine Hosein, speaking to the Express from Miami, Florida, USA, said that Cadiz was awaiting the results of the tests pending which he will take the first flight home. "They (doctors) did every imaginable test to rule out different things. He is in very good spirits and resting comfortably," said Hosein. She said Cadiz had meetings in Miami and was supposed to have others in Seattle with cruise ship officials of Holland America and Seaborne. Science and Technology Minister Dr Rupert Griffith has been appointed to act as Tourism Minister, in his absence. Communication Minister Jamal Mohammed told the Express last night Cadiz is expected to return today. |
