Call for probe into LifeSport

National Security Minister Gary Griffith must immediately hand over to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and the Commissioner of Police (CoP) any and all information/documentation in his possession on the LifeSport programme, says Fixin’ T&T.
In a release yesterday, Fixin’ T&T stated the numerous reports of irregularities and death threats dictate that an independent criminal investigation be conducted.
“We maintain that Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and Attorney General Anand Ramlogan cannot be trusted with the findings of probes into matters of alleged corruption involving their Government and friends,’’ stated the group.
It added that the lack of confidence was justified by their handling of, among other things: The ‘Prison-Gate’ affair; The National Quarries debacle under Mitra Ramkhelawan’s chairmanship; The extradition of those wanted in the US re the Piarco Airport fiasco.
