A CANADIAN woman was arrested yesterday morning at Piarco International Airport when she attempted to board a Caribbean Airlines flight with two kilos of cocaine.
The woman, aged 30, was arrested by a party of officers from the Organised Crime, Narcotics and Firearms Bureau (OCNFB) as she was about to board flight BW610, destined for Canada, when airport security personnel noticed a bulge in her pants near the region of her buttocks.
The woman was pulled out the line and, when searched by OCNFB officers, the tightly-wrapped packs of cocaine were discovered in a girdle.
She was arrested and taken to Arima Police Station, where she was being questioned up to press time last night.
OCNFB officers are continuing investigations.
