By Susan Mohammed

TOBAGO recorded its second murder for the year with the killing of Mt Pleasant contractor James Morris, who was found dead at home this morning.

Morris, who was also known as "Mr. Mt Pleasant", died after he was chopped several times. Police are currently at the scene and recording statements from witnesses.

Police were told that Morris may have been attacked and killed on Tuesday night. A witness told police that she heard noises coming from his home at around 11p.m. When she checked on him at 7.30a.m. today, she found the door broken. Police were called and Morris was found dead.

The first murder victim in Tobago, Curtis Lovelace, 54, was killed on January 1. Lovelace was stabbed by a man, over a domestic dispute over a two year old child. Morris' killing took the murder toll to 113.
