Cop shot in Biche forest

A POLICE officer on a marijuana eradication exercise in the Biche forest was shot by a trap gun on Sunday.
PC Benjamin, of the Organised Crime, Narcotics and Firearms Bureau (OCNFB), was wounded in the right leg. According to police, at around 10 a.m., OCNFB officers were carrying out the exercise in the forest when a loud explosion was heard and Benjamin realised he was shot. Police officers searched the area and a trap gun was found.
The wounded officer was airlifted to Sangre Grande Hospital, where he was treated and remained in a satisfactory condition.
