Cops capture alleged child abductor


THE MAN suspected of kidnapping Keyianna Noel has been captured by officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force. He currently being detained at the Morvant Police Station.

The 33-year-old man is to be handed over to officers of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad.

On December 17, six-year-old Keyianna was taken from her Duncan Street apartment by a male relative who promised to buy her and her siblings snacks.

A report was made to the police about Noel's kidnapping.
On December 18, Keyianna was dropped off along the Priority Bus Route (PBR) in Aranjuez by the suspect. He has been in hiding since.
Several times during his time in hiding the suspect signaled his intention to surrender.

On every occasion, he had a change of heart. The suspect made contact with officers of the NEDTF and signaled his intention to surrender yesterday.

He eventually seemed to have a change of heart and switched off his cellphone. Officers of the NEDTF however managed to locate the suspect walking along the Eastern Main Road in San Juan near to commercial bank RBC. He was held around 11 a.m.
