Cops search former office of Ramadharsingh

By Alexander Bruzual

Officers from the Port of Spain CID yesterday executed a search warrant at the head office of the Ministry of the People and Social Development.

While up to press time full details remained unavailable, police sources said a party of officers made their way around 4.30 p.m. yesterday to the office on Abercromby Street, Port of Spain, where they executed the warrant in the presence of several officials. The warrant, police said, concerned investigations surrounding allegations made by a woman against former minister of the people Glenn Ramadharsingh.

The acts, according to police information, allegedly occurred at the ministry office in 2011 and about eight weeks ago, and as such the officers visited the scene of the incidents in keeping with their enquiries.

However, up to press time, it was unclear if the officers found anything evidential materials which could assist them.

Investigations are continuing.
