Curry and laughs for a good cause

Today is Indian Arrival Day in Trinidad and Tobago, and if you’re in the mood for some curry and laughs and you’re not in the mood to cook, then The Necessary Arts School will treat you to both.
Director Penelope Spencer and her charges are on a mission to stage their own major theatrical production—written, directed and produced by the school itself—at a date later on in the year, and the comedy and curry-que is earmarked as a fund-raiser to make it happen.
The venue is 33 Murray Street, Wookbrook, Port of Spain. The curry-que takes place from from 11a.m. to 3 p.m., and there will be stand-up performances from past and present students, all written and directed by Spencer.
