A 54-YEAR-old Point Fortin man was found dead in his home last night, taking the murder toll to 114.
Jonathan Augustus Homer, of Southern Gardens, is believed to have been stabbed and throat slit, police said.
According to police, Homer, a mason employed with the Point Fortin Borough Corporation, was discovered dead by his wife, Denise Henry.
Police said Henry returned home at around 8.40 p.m. and found him in a pool of blood in the living room.
Investigators said there were wounds to his chest, back and neck. Police were told that someone poisoned the family's two pet dogs two weeks ago.
