Demas new NCC chairman

Allison Demas is the new chairman of the National Carnival Commission (NCC). Demas was confirmed in the position recently when the term of the board of directors ended.

Demas replaces Patrick Arnold, who indicated he was not interested in the position any longer and would have left at the end of the board's term. Arnold still had a year remaining on his contract after replacing the previous incumbent Kenny De Silva when the new board came into being.

Demas, a former chairman of the Copyright Organisation of Trinidad and Tobago (COTT) has Don Sylvester as her vice chairman, a position he held on the last board.

The three representatives of Trinbago Unified Calypsonians Organisation, the National Carnival Bandleaders Association and Pan Trinbago remain on the board leaving four positions to be filled.
