ToolsDouble murder in LaventilleTWO men were gunned down last night in the Laventille area, bringing the year's murder toll to 317. Up to press time, however, the two men had not yet been identified. Police said the incident occured shortly before 6.30 p.m. in Trou Macaque where a gunman walked up to the duo and opened fire, shooting them about their bodies. They died on the scene. A team of officers led by ASP Ajith Persad later visited the scene where they conducted enquiries. A post-mortem of the bodies is expected to take place today at the Forensic Science Centre. |
