Eight held with drugs in South raids

EIGHT persons were arrested over the weekend in exercises conducted by the South Western Division Task Force.

The exercises began at around 1 a.m. on Saturday morning and ended at 6 p.m. that same day.

Five brothers were held in La Romaine for possession of two kilogrammes of marijuana. A couple living at Mon Desir were also arrested for possession of marijuana and a La Brea resident was found with an undisclosed quantity of cocaine.

The exercises were headed by Sergeant Anderson Parriman, Corporal Solomon, Sergeant Gokool, PC Badree, PC Jamaldin and other officers from the South Western Division Task Force.
