MISSING SANTA Flora mother Johvanna Jeremiah and her baby Christiana were found by police in Sangre Grande today.
Jeremiah's mother, Christiana Edwards, said that a female police contacted her and told her they found the mother in a house with the baby.
The baby was unharmed, Edwards said.
"I am relieved", said Edwards. "They called me this morning and told me they found her in a house. I called a cousin of mine to go across and meet her. I don't trust her to come home on her own".
Jeremiah, 32, is the mother of two other boys - Bryant, four, and Akeel, three. She was last seen in a taxi on the morning of August 20 by her sister, Emerald, 14.
Edwards was told that Jeremiah was on her way to Port of Spain to obtain a birth certificate for her younger son.
After the story published in the newspapers , Jeremiah and 19-month-old Christiana Garcia were reported missing, Edwards said she received information from callers who told her they were seen in Sangre Grande last week.
"I am relieved to know that the baby is okay. I am thankful to everyone who showed concern and support for our family during this time", Edwards said.
The baby's grandmother said she would assist in caring for little Christiana and her brothers. "One of the children will be attending pre-school next week. I don't know how I will handle everything, financially and otherwise, but I will have to", she said.
