Family robbed and beaten

POLICE are searching for three thieves who beat and robbed a Gasparillo vendor of more than $25,000, his vehicle and other valuables.

Police said around 8.40 p.m. on Thursday, the 52-year-old man, of Hillview Drive, Morne Roche Village, was at home with his wife and 11-year-old daughter when they were confronted by three masked men.

One of the bandits was armed with a cutlass and another with a firearm.

The victim told police one of the thieves struck him with the firearm on the back of his head.

The thieves tied up the victim and his family and escaped in their vehicle.

They robbed the family of $24,000, three bank cards valued $60, two cell- phones valued $600, and a green Nissan Cube valued at $60,000.

Gasparillo police are continuing investigations.
