A FARMER was one of six people robbed in two separate incidents on a beach on Friday.

The 51-year-old man from Penal Rock Road reported to police that he was seated in a white Nissan Bluebird at Duncan Village, San Fernando around 5 p.m. on Friday when two men approached. One had a gun. They ordered the man into the back seat of the car and drove to Flower Pot beach, Pointe-a-Pierre.

At the beach, the  men beat the farmer and robbed him of his wallet which contained $500, his driver’s permit and identification card.

The two assailants escaped on foot. At the same beach around 6.15 p.m. five people including three women were robbed at gunpoint of $30,000 in jewelry, cellular phones and $3,000 cash. The victims, who range in ages between 20 and 35 years, reported to police that the bandits escaped on foot.
