A FOETUS which police believe was flushed down a toilet was found yesterday in Princes Town.
The foetus—a male approximately 20 weeks old—was discovered in a Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) waste treatment plant in Buen Intento.
Police said at around 10.45 a.m. they were contacted by a supervisor at the plant, who said a body was found.
The supervisor told police the lines to the water waste treatment plant led from a nearby housing development.
Police believe the foetus was flushed down the sewer line within 24 hours of the find, since the plant is checked daily.
DMO Dr Ragoobar examined and ordered the removal of the foetus to the mortuary of San Fernando General Hospital.
WPC Valentine of Princes Town Police Station is investigating.
