ToolsFoetus found at Forres Park landfillPolice are investigating the discovery of a foetus in the Forres Park landfill in Claxton Bay yesterday. The blood-stained foetus, that of a male of 36 weeks, was wrapped in a towel and placed in a black plastic bag. Police said scavengers discovered the bag and contacted the police around 2 p.m. A party of officers attached to the Couva Police Station visited the scene. The foetus was examined by a district medical officer last evening. He ordered its removal to the San Fernando General Hospital mortuary. —Carolyn Kissoon |
