FOUR men will return to court today, after being denied bail two days ago on charges of possession of guns, ammunition and illegal drugs.
Preetan Harripersad, John Sanjay Chinan, Samuel Joseph and Jason Fitzroy were not called upon to plea to the charges when they appeared before San Fernando Magistrate Aden Stroude on Monday.
The magistrate made note of a 9mm gun, 12 rounds of 9mm ammunition, a .38 pistol and one live round of .38 ammunition and 96 grammes of marijuana.
Corporal Kerry Morales charged the men with allegedly having
the arms, ammunition and narcotics in their possession at Pond Street, La Romaine last week Thursday.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Marlon Bruce gave the description to the court. The men were remanded in prison custody to have their criminal backgrounds checked.
Defence attorney Jason Jackson is expected to make applications for bail on the mens' behalf today.
