Fuel delivered to NP service stations
Fuel supplies were delivered to NP service stations yesterday in spite of a work stoppage at the State-owned company, a release from NP stated yesterday.
“NP wishes to advise the public that in spite of the illegal work stoppage carried out by the Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union over the past two days, due to the company’s diligent efforts to enforce its contingency plans, normal fuel supplies were delivered throughout its service station network.
“Some rural areas did not receive supplies of fuel yesterday (Wednesday); however, those were given first priority this morning (yesterday), as well as stations located in the south,” the release said.
The release added that NP’s board of directors and management remain committed to ensuring the situation returns to normalcy in the shortest possible time.
