POLICE on Sunday raided a party being held to celebrate a baby's christening, and found two illegal firearms, ammunition and a quantity of marijuana.
Two persons - a 35-year-old Maloney man and a 32-year-old woman of La Horquetta - were arrested and taken into custody.
According to police, at around 11 p.m. a party of police officers led by Senior Superintendent David Abraham, Superintendent Daniel, Inspector Maharaj, and others of the Northern Division Task Force went to a house at Phase Four, La Horquetta.
Police said a party was in progress at the house when they entered with a search warrant.
Officers allegedly found a .38 revolver with five rounds of ammunition, 18 rounds of ammunition of various calibre, and a quantity of marijuana.
The suspects were taken to the Arima Police Station and were to be charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm, and possession of ammunition.
