Hilux hits woman on bus route: driver sought

POLICE are searching for the driver of a Toyota Hilux which slammed into and killed a woman around three o'clock yesterday morning along the Priority Bus Route in the vicinity of the Aranjuez Savannah.

Police said after the pick-up hit the woman, it never stopped.

Up to eight o'clock last night, police had not yet been able to positively identify the victim.

The description investigators gave to the Express was that she was of African descent, dark-brown in complexion and of medium build. She appeared to be in her mid-30s or early 40s.

Anyone who can identify the woman is asked to call Barataria Police Station urgently. Barataria CID officers are continuing investigations.
