Hundreds at Dana's home for funeral

HUNDREDS who came to mourn Dana Seetahal at her family's home this afternoon, left disappointed after being unable to view the body.

Seetahal was shot dead around 12.05 a.m. on Sunday morning.
The viewing of body of Seetahal's body was scheduled to take place at her family's home 24 Wilkinson Street, El Dorado. The viewing was carded to take place at 3 p.m.

Around 1 p.m. people started to gather to view Seetahal's body.
Police blocked off vehicular traffic to Wilkinson Street, and part of the Eastern Main Road, Tunapuna.

Over a dozen uniformed officer were present at the home. Mourners however who were seated outside the family's residence, were prevented from viewing the body.

Hundreds were in attendance with the crowd spilling out to the street.
The closed casket with Seetahal's body was locked inside the family's house.

Some mourners complained publicly about not being able to see her body. The attendees were told they could view the body at the funeral service carded to take place at the Armalaya Presbyterian Church on Cochrane Street, Tunapuna.

The closed casket was removed from the house of mourning around 3:15 p.m.

Seetalal was ambushed and shot dead in her car close to her One Woodbrook Place, Port of Spain apartment shortly after midnight on Sunday.
