I was expecting it

Arielle ‘feels great’ about third place:

The pupil who achieved the third highest mark at the SEA, Arielle Rambharose, is overwhelmed by her achievement.

Rambharose, a pupil of the San Fernando ASJA Primary school, said: “I feel great, it is amazing to achieve this great accomplishment. I was expecting it. I put in a lot of hard work. I went to a lot of lessons and had a lot of encouragement from my teachers and parents. They helped me be the person I am today.”

Rambharose said her goal was to become a paediatrician.

Rambharose’s mother, a library assistant at Barrackpore West Secondary School, said her daughter was working hard to achieve her goal.

Her father, Kailindra Rambharose, an operations technician, said he always knew his daughter would do well.

The couple, of Barrackpore, have a younger son, Aryan. They will be celebrating Arielle Rambharose’s achievement in Disney World, Florida next month.

Anjuman Sunnat-ul-Jamaat Association (ASJA) president general, Yacoob Ali, said he was pleased with the school’s achievement.

“I think it is the discipline we emphasise on. This is the hallmark of the ASJA schools, even in the secondary schools,” he said.

Ali said ASJA had applied for construction of a primary and secondary school in Penal.           —CK
